Mitsy Noguchi is a lover of art, food, and circus. She is currently a student at Earl Haig Secondary School in the Claude Watson Arts Program as a drama major. For the past four years, she has been heavily involved in her school’s art scene. Mitsy has participated in Poetry In Voice competitions every year, making it to semifinals twice. She has also been a finalist in the Pierre Berton writing contest three years in a row, for poetry and essay entries. The stage has been her second home throughout high school, where she has played roles such as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Claire in Perfect, Julia in A Firm Stance, and Peter Semyonich in The Good Doctor. She is an event coordinator in Earl Haig’s arts and drama councils. After she graduates in June 2019, she will emerge from her cocoon of Toronto, Ontario to explore intentional communities and work on cruise ships around the world. She has deferred her acceptance to University of Waterloo’s Peace and Conflict Studies program to September 2020, though is also pending a vagabond life. Mitsy works at Toronto School of Circus Arts as a flying trapeze instructor, and at The Veggie Thali as a server. In her spare time she can be found hanging out with her mom and dog, curating Pinterest boards, dreaming about the future, or eating peanut butter.
